Abstract
CORREA, Jorge Enrique et al. Computerized Gait Analysis in Unilateral Trans-Femoral Amputees with Endo-Skeletic and Exo-Skeletic Prosthesis. Rev. Cienc. Salud [online]. 2003, vol.1, n.2, pp.135-150. ISSN 1692-7273.
The purpose of this study is to perform a compu- terized gait analysis in subjects with unilateral trans-femoral amputation with endo-skeletic and exo-skeletic prosthesis. Method: The participants were two soldiers of The Colombian National Army, with trans-femoral (AK) unilateral amputation, because of traumatic cause, age (25+/-10 years). The Software Ariel Performance Analysis System (APAS) was employed for the movement analysis. Information on kinematics, parameters and decisive of the gait, tilt of pelvis, length of step, the length long stride, the broad of step, the march of cadense, the index of energy, consumption and the percentage of the periods of duration of the gait cycle was obtained. Results: The heady data were compared among if and with a normal gait. The results are present in a comparative board. Conclusions: The use of this technology in the intervention physical therapy with amputated people, throws exact data in all the variables of the study, what can improve the boarding of these people in the prosthetic and to provide them the gait patterns reeducation the nearest thing to the normal thing.
