Abstract
TRISTANCHO R, José L; HOLGUIN P, María P and RAMIREZ L, Luis C. High temperature corrosion of coatings NiCr and NiCrBSiFe deposited by Thermal Spray. Prospect. [online]. 2015, vol.13, n.1, pp.32-38. ISSN 1692-8261. https://doi.org/10.15665/rp.v13i1.357.
We assessed the behavior of coatings corrosion rate NiCr and NiCrBSiFe deposited by thermal spraying on hot rolled steel sheets, this coatings has been tested at 400, 450, 500 and 550 Celsius, during 12, 24, 32 and 48 hours, the test was conducted by weight loss technique. We showed that coating produces a oxide layer and protects the substrate from high temperatures, although the two alloys have this anticorrosive property, the behavior corrosion rate of specimens coated with NiCrBSiFe is better than NiCr, because the boron and silicon act as corrosion inhibitors.
