This paper presents the design, implementation and testing of a monitoring and supervision system for universal testing machine Shimadzu UDH50. An improvement plan of the machine was developed, getting the operation diagnostic for internal and external components of the machine, and with applying reengineering were drawn electrical and hydraulic plans of control and power, user and maintenance manuals were developed, it was designed a software in Labview which works as a control panel of the machine, for the design and implementation of automation was used ISA standards and methodology of engineering projects integrating an acquisition card DAQ data, a signal conditioning board, a control card and power and a computer. There are presented three operation test doing compression, tensile and bending tests with the integrated system for verify the efficiency; a total performance is obtained, the results of the machine were compared, and obtained an average precision error of 0,8%.
