Cloud Computing is the model that allows access to a network on demand of a set of configurable computing services such as infrastructure, applications and storage. In recent years this model has allowed companies have a presence on the Web or simply acquire IT services at a reasonable price without having to invest in the purchase of hardware and software equipment. This article, seeks to provide the interested user, an overview of the most important concepts of Cloud Computing showing potential in the development of enterprises. In this this work, three (3) phases were established, generating activities to enable compliance with the proposed scope, these phases were: general characterization model, business opinion survey and a case study with a service provider. Final results indicate on the one hand, large increases in research in the area and great reception host big business Cloud services. Additionally a high percentage of local businesses that know the model are shown, but do not already implemented, mainly due to cost factors, insecurity and connectivity.
