Abstract

GONZALEZ MOLANO, Carlos  and  MARTINEZ CAMPO, José Luis. Strategic management and business innovation: concepts concerning. Dimens.empres. [online]. 2014, vol.12, n.2, pp.107-116. ISSN 1692-8563.

Innovation has become one of the key instruments in companies that want to remain competitive and socially responsible, in an increasingly complex and changing environment. Innovation is not an easy concept to understand; many companies, and even academics, are still unaware of their meaning and how it can affect their evolution. Innovation does not always mean creating something new, sometimes implement something that already exists. However, many companies abuse this basic definition, all that is new to them, however small, call it innovation in many cases blending innovation with continuous improvement. This article seeks to achieve an approximation between strategic management and business innovation, from the standpoint of the conceptual evolution of these constructs.

Keywords : Innovation; Strategic Management; Innovation cap.
