The municipality of Pajapan, in the Sierra of Santa Marta (Veracruz, Mexico), represents a paradigm case in the struggle for the defense of the communal lands of the peasant indigenous communi/es in the Gran Caribe, who use different mechanisms of resistance. Furthermore, by implementing a qualitative research methodology and going through the literature and a documentary research of the subject of study, this research has identified and analyzed various natural resources management projects in the geographic environment the Pajapan and in the Sierra of Santa Marta.
