This task shows how the development was of a financial institution that operated between 1950-1980, to meet certain credit requirements and promoting the rural sector in the department of Magdalena (Colombian Caribbean), especially for economic lines of agricultural type: banana, cocoa and coffee. This was the case of Bananero Bank. An analysis is made from the institutional theory, business growth and power structure, from the creation of companies, job creation and functioning of institutions. The factors that allowed its emergence, evolution and disappearance are explained.
