Abstract

This article explores cultural practices, and imaginary representations associated with water management in Sincelejo City during the 1st half of the twentieth century. Research conducted from the perspective of cultural history, methodologically supported in the critical analysis of the documentation contained in the press archive of Sincelejo City, located in the National Library of Colombia in Bogota. Explained here about urban tensions created between members of the community, starting for the rainwater trade, and the participation of different actors in the consolidation of social imaginary with the water supply.
