Abstract

GUERRA MOLINA, René Alonso. INSTITUTIONS IN WONDERLAND. rev. econ. Caribe [online]. 2018, n.22, pp.99-121. ISSN 2011-2106.

In this article, a theoretical approach to institutions is made from the point of view of various authors, emphasizing the hypothesis of Acemoglu and Robinson on extractive institutions that in one way or another determined the success or failure of some countries, as well as their conditions. economic, social and political issues. For this, the case of Colombia is taken as an example of study through its colonial legacy, later independence and present, to understand how its institutions turned it into "Wonderland".
