Abstract

Objective.
To present the analysis of the labor conditions of social workers in contemporary capitalism in Colombia between 2006 and 2016, which was approached from the theoretical perspective inspired by Marx.
Methodology.
Quantitative and qualitative strategies were used to address the phenomenon; being the online survey, semi-structured interview, participant observation and documentary review the main instruments for collecting empirical and theoretical information.
Result:
the condition of salaried worker and its manifestations in the basic family basket, social security, forms of hiring, socio-emotional impacts, level of unionization or union, etc., resize and condition professional practice.
Conclusions.
To understand Social Work in contemporary Colombian socio-economic training, it is necessary to delve into the research of the world of work and the categories that constitute it.
