Abstract

Aneurysms of the subclavian artery are rare lesions. The most frequent cause is atherosclerosis, their clinical presentation depending on the location; some may be asymptomatic. Their accurate diagnosis plays an important role in planning treatment, that could be by traditional surgery or by the novel endovascular techniques, or the combination of both. The aim of this article was to review the literature and to present a case of a subclavian aneurysm treated in the city oif Manizalez, Colombia.
