This research aims to analyze some ways of construction of female identity through body language of educated youth. The different elements that shape the aesthetic of these young people were studied by observing their particular clothing, which alters their school uniform and is contrary to the institutional standards and which also is a way of constructing bodies from pre-established canons of beauty that are reproduced from the subjectivity of students. The article also explores the use of makeup and exaggerated accessories, how that gives meaning to the construction of young female body within the school. This is a qualitative research with hermeneutic approach and it seeks to understand the different meanings that people give to their experiences. The focus group was used as a methodological tool, and it consists of seven students from seventh grade to ninth from the educational institution Compartir de Soacha. The results allow us to affirm that the use of makeup and wardrobe modifications seeks to show a different appearance from the assigned one by the regulations in the school environment and through these expressions and attitudes, the students try to set their own identity.
