Abstract
GOMEZ-CARDONA, Natalia and GONZALEZ-MARIN, Esperanza María. Human Resource Management at the Market Place in Colombia ¿a Meager Processs or under Construction?. Aleth. rev. desarro. hum. educ. soc. contemp. [online]. 2018, vol.10, n.2, pp.148-169. ISSN 2145-0366.
This study conducts a theoretical review about the development of human resource management processes in Colombian market places. However, there is not much information about this topic but it was possible to find similar studies in some national small and medium enterprises. The methodology was to review field records for tracking the state of this issue in the Colombian context and theoretical background to support the importance of human management processes within the organizations. The data gathered from the research group "Psiqué y Sociedad" from the Fundación Universitaria María Cano was included in order to describe a specific case in one of the market places of Medellin city. It is concluded that in the market places, along with some small and medium enterprises, human management processes have a functional nature and they obey to isolated activities not related with each other. In this matter, human resource management inside the market places and small and medium enterprises does not achieve a strategical perspective and even though, theoretically, the human being is no longer considered as a resource, this paradigm is not reflected inside Colombian organizations.
