Abstract
PULIDO-MUNOZ, Lyda Constanza. Peace Contributions in Colombia from the Practices and Meanings of Peace in Varsana Eco-village. Aleth. rev. desarro. hum. educ. soc. contemp. [online]. 2018, vol.10, n.2, pp.214-237. ISSN 2145-0366.
In this article results are summarized from the qualitative research: Senses and Practices of Peace from the Devotees of the Varsana Ecovillage, in association with the Network of the Conscious Global Compact in Colombia. To achieve this, the methodological approach included the analysis and interpretation of the information. The antecedents, practices and meanings of peace, points of inflection and the current state of the experience are presented as the problematic. With the participants (devotees from Krishna and RPMC activists) the following techniques were used: participant observation, documentary review, semi-structured interviews, workshops. The purpose was to make peace actions visible and to recognize them as practices of self-realization for Varsana resident devotees, such as: "Seed Bank /native seeds for life" "Peaceful boycott" "Kiva" (encounter of ancestral people), "Singing to water", "Chaski Fest" (festival of conscious art), among others.
