Abstract

AGUILAR, Luz Adriana. Teaching Literature in Elementary School: A Chance to Develop Environmental Education. Trilogía. Cienc. Tecnol. Soc. [online]. 2022, vol.14, n.27, e202.  Epub Sep 28, 2022. ISSN 2145-7778.  https://doi.org/10.22430/21457778.2146.

This article shows how the Spanish language curriculum was strengthened in the fourth grade of primary school in a public institution in Colombia, through a qualitative research with interpretative typology. The education innovation project included strategies for teaching literature and environmental education. Case studies allow understanding a complex situation, through descriptive and interpretative processes, to promote changes in training processes. Accordingly, four methodological phases were implemented to finally deliver the pedagogical proposal "Escribir y crear mi planeta", which is articulated with the strategies mentioned above. As a result, these components materialized in three interdisciplinary teaching units applicable to face-to-face and virtual scenarios. The initiative is aligned with the curriculum and the school context, considering that current educational needs require interdisciplinary, hybrid and flexible processes that democratically approach learning.

Keywords : School curriculum; didactics of literature; environmental education; hybrid education; Spanish language.
