Abstract
PLOTNIK, Viviana. MILITARY DICTATORSHIP AND CIVIL SOCIETY. perifrasis. rev.lit.teor.crit. [online]. 2016, vol.7, n.14, pp.25-38. ISSN 2145-8987.
This work analyzes three Argentine novels: El secreto y las voces by Carlos Gamerro (2002), El colectivo by Eugenia Almeida (2009) and Lo que nosotras sabíamos by María Inés Krimer (2009), which reconstruct murders committed by the State during the military dictatorship that governed the country in the seventies. These crimes are configured as ritual sacrifices by which violence is focused on a scapegoat, thus avoiding a greater violence and uniting the community. The texts also condemn the middle classes for having facilitated or supported State terrorism.
Keywords : dictatorship; Argentina; complicity; middle class; scapegoat.
