Abstract

ARBUET OSUNA, Camila. THE LITERATURE OF KOLLONTÁI AND THE TRAGEDIES OF SENTIMENTAL EDUCATION. perifrasis. rev.lit.teor.crit. [online]. 2018, vol.9, n.18, pp.48-64. ISSN 2145-8987.  https://doi.org/10.25025/perifrasis20189.18.03.

Aleksandra Kollontái, distinguished Bolshevik militant, went down in history for her career and political writings; however, her literary writings have not received the same attention. In 1923, she wrote A Great Love, Love in Three Generations, Vasília Malyguina and Sisters, which analyze the tragic links among women. There, the author lays out some of her hypotheses about female emancipation. I intend to analyze these literary writings, focusing the perplexities of the author on maternity and sorority, to rescue them politically as the record of the tension between a sensitive experience, a political commitment and its inadequacies.

Keywords : Kollontái; literature; women; politics; tragedy.
