Abstract

OREJA GARRALDA, Nerea. SANGRE EN EL OJO: REFLECTIONS ON ILLNESS, (POST) MEMORY AND WRITING. perifrasis. rev.lit.teor.crit. [online]. 2018, vol.9, n.18, pp.80-97. ISSN 2145-8987.  https://doi.org/10.25025/perifrasis20189.18.05.

In her texts, Lina Meruane presents transversal lines of reflection that constitute her principal literary and political concerns and that define the Weltanschauung of the new Chilean feminine fiction. These are, among others, illness, "(post) memory", and writing, which will be analyzed in relation to the novel Sangre en el ojo (2012). Those three central concepts are closely connected to dynamics of resistance and subversion against hegemony, and they design new forms of experience the body and the word, in a present time where the reconstruction of the historical past becomes an urgent ethical and aesthetic action.

Keywords : illness; memory; writing; Sangre en el ojo; Lina Meruane.
