Abstract

ALVARADO, ROLANDO ANGEL -. Musical stimulation in the first year of life. Zona prox. [online]. 2019, n.31, pp.132-143.  Epub Mar 20, 2020. ISSN 2145-9444.

Communication is essential in the first year of child development because the emotional bond with an attachment figure starts for the baby in the social world through direct emotional communication and situational-practical communication. This essay aims to discuss diverse socio-cognitive matters of babies since a perspective centred on musical practice. The research responds to grounded theory from a deductive approach, so it uses documents concerning childhood psychology and music pedagogy. In conclusion, music promotes secure attachment between the adult-infant dyadic relationship, which allows laying the foundation of cultural identity.

Keywords : affectivity; communication; stimulation; early child; music.
