Abstract

CANIZALEZ MESA, Natalia Elizabeth  and  PULIDO-CORTES, Oscar. Childhood, a Philosophical Experience in Films. Prax. Saber [online]. 2015, vol.6, n.11, pp.245-262. ISSN 2216-0159.

The paper presents the theoretical results of the research project 'Films and childhood: educational meeting for teacher training', which aims to investigate how movies have addressed the conceptions of childhood from different philosophical perspectives. Three analytical fields are found in the text in order to show: 1. the conditions making philosophy and childhood relationship possible; 2. the philosophical perspective of the concept of childhood from Italian philosopher Giorgio Agamben's work, which is addressed through the relationships with experiences and language; and 3. films as a way of knowledge and a transmitter of cultural forms, a meeting leading to a reason-emotion relationship that establishes an alliance between the subject and the thought, becoming a benchmark for contemporary educational and pedagogical processes.

Keywords : childhood; experience; language; power.
