Abstract

ALARCON MARTINEZ, Julián Andrés. Invitations by the public space for the Park Sendero in Tauramena (Casanare, Colombia). Rev. Ciudades Estados Política [online]. 2020, vol.7, n.3, pp.17-32.  Epub Dec 14, 2021. ISSN 2462-9103.

The public space system of the urban land of Tauramena's municipality is constituted by fourteen recreational parks, a multipurpose center and several green areas. The 'Sendero Park' is the largest of them and, due to its scale and impact, emerged the need to diagnose the urban dynamics around it, considering the apparent disarticulation with its context, which discourages the development of cultural, sports and leisure activities. The article's objective is to propose, on one hand, conceptual bases to project adequate urban spaces and on the other one, a renovation of the Sendero Park in the Tauramena's municipality, based on the study of its interactions with the context, and through a series of invitations from the approaches of identity, the physical and the symbolic. The information was collected qualitatively, as well as the results of the interviews and their respective analyses; it is indicated the way the pedestrian is unknown in the Park and some concepts are pointed out to allow a panorama's change.

Keywords : architecture; cities; public spaces; urban space; pedestrianization; pedestrians; urban planning.
