Resumen
DE LOS RIOS, José F. y GONZALEZ, Pablo A.. A report of three cases of using Dubuisson´s laparoscopic lateral ventrosuspension for correcting apical prolapse when there is contraindication for sacral suspension. Rev Colomb Obstet Ginecol [online]. 2008, vol.59, n.3, pp.238-242. ISSN 0034-7434.
Objective: describing the first 3 cases of Dubuisson´s laparoscopic lateral colposuspension in Colombia as an alternative for treating apical prolapse in patients in whom colposacropexy was not feasible at the Gynecological Endoscopy Unit, Clínica del Prado, Medellín, Colombia. Methods: case report. Results: mean age: 59 years (48-72). Mean surgical time: 160 minutes (120-180), estimated blood loss: 66 cc (50-100). There were no intra-operation complications. There has been no recurrence of prolapse during mean follow-up period (6 months) or any evidence of urinary, defecatory or sexual dysfunction. The 3 patients have been totally satisfied with the operation result. Conclusions: laparoscopic lateral colposuspension is a valid alternative in our setting for treating patients suffering from apical prolapse who have contraindication for sacropexy.
