REYES, Oscar; CADENA, Oscar y CORREA, Rodrigo. Design of a prototype for measuring heat flux using direct calorimetry by temperature variation measurements. Ing. Desarro. [online]. 2007, n.22, pp.85-106. ISSN 0122-3461.
This article presents the main characteristics of the design and construction of a prototype to measure heat flux, acquiring temperature variation and using noninvasive temperature sensors. The conditions of a post-surgical patient are related to energy consumption as a part of the metabolic answer due to stress that represents the patient decaying condition. One of the actions adopted to improve and accelerate the patient process of recovery, is the appropriate handling of the metabolism, since its adequate control can contribute to the necessary nutrients for the evolution and recovering of the person under care. This project is a prototype, and therefore, tests should not be used on human beings but only on controlled heat generators.
