Resumen

RIOS DIAZ, Alba Milena et al. Shared Learning: A Didactic Approach Based on Collaborative Socio-Technical Environments for Teaching English as a Foreign Language. Trilogía. Cienc. Tecnol. Soc. [online]. 2023, vol.15, n.31, e300.  Epub 17-Mayo-2024. ISSN 2145-7778.  https://doi.org/10.22430/21457778.2844.

Shared learning is a didactic approach based on the idea that students learn better when they collaborate with other actors-such as peers, teachers, and parents-supported by appropriate epistemic artifacts (analog and digital technologies) that create a favorable learning context. The objective of this study was to analyze shared learning didactics to improve the efficiency of the educational process in English language teaching and learning. In this qualitative study, the first stage was a bibliometric analysis that used citation pearl growing. The second stage relied on hermeneutics, applying textual analysis to scientific documents. For the bibliometric analysis, a search string was entered into the Scopus database. The co-occurrence of keywords was studied with VOSviewer® software, and the content of 435 articles was analyzed in ATLAS.ti® software. Seven clusters emerged and were contextually distributed into two categories: shared learning and collaborative learning. The findings provide knowledge on what didactic methods should be strengthened to ensure efficiency in English language teaching-learning in elementary and high school education. It was also found that, worldwide, shared learning acquires other connotations that add peculiarities to it, which converge in the interaction of actors who are involved in the educational processes-promoting a healthy coexistence, well-being, and social peace in school environments.
