Resumen

The article presents a historical study of teacher education, aiming to understand the movement promoted by the promulgation of the Guidelines and Bases Act of 1996 (LDB /96). It analyzes the proposals and training programs for Natural Sciences teachers from the last years of primary education (PE), as well as the documents from the Ministry of Education and Culture (MEC, for its initials in Spanish), the Secretary of State for Education, Culture and Sport of Goiás (seducir/GO), the undergraduate degree from Goiás State University (UEG /PrG) and the coordination of special programs at UEG.

There is a significant number of teachers and professionals working in the last years of PE without the specific license for the Natural Sciences field. It is observed that the proposals introduced and the education model seek to achieve the necessary certifications, but the actions carried out raise some concerns about the quality of the process. Therefore, it is necessary to invest in new proposals for permanent education and to minimize the impacts of the initial training in the teaching process.
