Objective:
This article analyzes the construction process of the masculinities of printing industry workers during the i93os. During this period, different variables within unions and nationwide influenced the configuration of masculinity and questioned the traditional perceptions of these subjects. Thus, the central aim of the article is to contribute to the efforts that have challenged the unique prevalence of what has been considered hegemonic masculinity during the period.
Methodology:
The following pages are based on a wide range of primary sources, from the records of trade union assemblies to documents produced by political police agencies.

This issue has been addressed for other social groups by historical research, so this analysis allows us to broaden our view of a problem that remains relevant.
Conclusions:
The article walks through the main circumstances affected the construction of the masculinities of these workers, emphasizing their place in the political framework of Cardenism, the challenge generated by generational changes, as well as the inclusion of women in this labor sphere. The result is a view that highlights the multidirectionality of the process and the heterogeneity of the masculinities implemented during the period.
