In this paper I explore the link between literature and philosophy in the book Hard-Boiled Wonderland and the End of the World of Japanese writer Haruki Murakami. Specifically, I focus on rebuilding the nature of consciousness and the concept of identity that can be found in his work. Then, what are the conceptual implications that can be found in his work in relation to philosophy of mind and contemporary moral philosophy
