RAMIREZ GIRALDO, Juan Pablo. THE OPENNESS CONDITION AND THE STATE OF BEING ORIENTED TOWARDS: A METAPHYSICS OF LIFE IN HEGEL. Univ. philos. [online]. 2014, vol.31, n.62, pp.71-93. ISSN 0120-5323.
This article draws on a metaphysical reading of three stages related to the Phenomenology of spirit: a) openness as a constitutive spirit condition; b) desire as a state of being oriented towards; and, c) life as an openness condition and as a state of being oriented towards. In order to achieve such metaphysical reading, this study takes on three intertwined paths drawing on two co-dependent figures: the openness condition and the state of being oriented towards. The first path introduces openness as a constitutive spirit condition and, roughly, the state of being oriented towards as part of the individual spirit at the sensitive-certitude level. The second path presents the state of being oriented towards, this being understood as will and, finally, the third path revisits these two figures drawing on the idea of conditions making possible the spirit's LIFE.
