The strengths and weaknesses of production organizations that have implemented sustainable schemes of timber resource management in the different regions of Chiapas are evaluated. To obtain the information field visits and interviews with the representatives of the different organizations were done along with participative workshops. What stood out the most was the differentiation level in terms of the advancement in agency capacities and collective management, what has enabled them to advance to superior levels in the formation of productive chains, middlemen exclusion and market growth. Consolidating therefore its social capital. Despite these, in between the weaknesses, a chronic dependency in between governmental transferences to achieve a broader capitalization and financial autonomy was evidenced, not just to broaden the base of the physical capital, but it's installed capacities.
