A general study of the flora of the Andén Orinoqués in the department of Vichada, Colombia is presented in this article. Including descriptions of the ecosystems found on the study area, the plants, their growing behaviour, phenology and consumption by the animals. For each vegetal formation dominant species and qualitative abundance is mentioned. 1010 species, grouped in 129 families and 473 genres were identified. The families with highest number of species, in descendent order, were: Fabaceae-Faboideae, Rubiaceae, Fabaceae-Caesalpinioidea, Myrtaceae, Bignoniaceae, Euphorbiaceae, Melastomataceae, Apocynaceae, Fabaceae-Mimosoideae and Arecaceae. The most representative genres were: Eugenia, Licania, Ouratea, Chamaecrista, Myrcia, Guatteria, Senna, Erythroxylum, Protium, Securidaca, Swartzia y Tabebuia. It's worth highlighting the presence of genres such as: Cavanillesia, Lasiadenia, Chaunochiton, Thurnia, Turnera, Cynometra, Peltogyne, Vellozia, Vatairea, Etaballia, Diplotropis, Roupala and Panopsis. Additionally 19 ecosystems were identified within the study area. Animals were observed eating 845 different species of flora.
