Resumen

IBARRA PADILLA, Adelaida María; MARTINEZ MARTINEZ, Gloria Cristina  y  SANCHEZ TAMAYO, Robinson. ADVANCES IN EQUALITY FROM A GENDER PERSPECTIVE IN COLOMBIAN CONSTITUTIONAL LAW. anal.polit. [online]. 2021, vol.34, n.101, pp.5-22.  Epub 13-Jul-2021. ISSN 0121-4705.  https://doi.org/10.15446/anpol.v34n101.96556.

In the framework of the celebration of the thirtieth anniversary of the Colombian Political Constitution, this article analyzes the development of the concepts of gender and gender identity in Colombian constitutional law and their impact on criminal law. To do this, it resorts to the dogmatic-legal method to analyze the jurisprudence of the Constitutional Court and specialized literature. The article suggests that the expansion of the concept of gender and the incorporation of the category of gender identity have allowed the adoption of measures aimed at strengthening the political, sexual, and reproductive rights of women, as well as the implementation of protection measures against various forms of gender-based violence, such as the classification of femicide and its extension to transfemicide as a criminal offence.

Palabras clave : Femicide; transfemicide; gender; gender identity; woman..
