IBORRA-MALLENT, Juan Vicente  y  PALMER, Kimberly. Canadian Imperialism and the Forced Displacement of the Garifuna Communities of Honduras. Nómadas [online]. 2021, n.54, pp.49-65.  Epub 13-Ene-2022. ISSN 0121-7550.  https://doi.org/10.30578/nomadas.n54a3.

The paper takes up contributions from indigenous and black intellectuals in Canada to demonstrate how the forced displacement of the communities is part of a racial and colonial logic that requires the appropriation of their natural resources. Therefore, showing the articulation among imperialism, racism, territorial dispossession, and migration. The authors conclude by considering the need to address the resistance of the affected peoples and their ability to write a new history, on the fringes of colonialism.
