OSPINA CRUZ, Carlos Arturo y RUNGE PENA, Andrés Klaus. Secular education in Antioquia during the first quarter of the twentieth century: A history of overlaps and combinatorics. Hist. Caribe [online]. 2017, vol.12, n.30, pp.107-144. ISSN 0122-8803. https://doi.org/10.15648/hc.30.2016.5.
We conducted a historical overview of the presence of secular education in the first quarter of the 20th century in Antioquia, in confrontation with the dominant educational ideologies. For this purpose, we compiled elements showing the dynamics of such encounter in education from circulating speeches in the region by that time. A posteriori, distorting the secular spirit that the new contexts can offer of the 1991 Constitution and the 21st century, and as naturalization by custom, the religion and doctrinal morality teaching have become in a cross-curricular approach for children and young people education. Talking about secularization of education in Antioquia is mainly speaking of a history of confrontations and conjugations with the dominant educational Catholic thinking.
