Resumen
PATINO BARRAGAN, Martha Jeaneth. Mechanism, function, expression and narration: the fourfold interpretation of emotions, a version from pragmatism. Hallazgos [online]. 2021, vol.18, n.36, pp.135-178. Epub 01-Jul-2021. ISSN 1794-3841. https://doi.org/10.15332/2422409x.5026.
This article aims to show a reading on the problem of emotions, of the interaction between the approaches of philosophy and its derivations and dialogues with other disciplines. To this end, the main theme of the article revolves around the influence that William James and John Dewey, from the classical pragmatism, have exerted on contemporary developments such as cognitivism, as well as on those of the social sciences and on individual narrative of experience. However, in order to connect these approaches methodologically, we start from the Aristotelian version, which gives rise to the different current approaches.
