BEDOYA-LEGUIZAMON, Héctor de León. The humanities: between reductionisms, disjunctions, anarchism and science. From scientific hylorealism and complex thinking. Entramado [online]. 2024, vol.20, n.1, pp.1-. Epub 07-Mayo-2024. ISSN 1900-3803. https://doi.org/10.18041/1900-3803/entramado.1.10146.
The sciences and disciplines are increasingly distanced, and the humanities are no exception, they distance themselves from each other and the other sciences (natural, exact, complex, etc.), as they are usually scientifically delegitimized, which restricts their growth, scope, and sociocultural impact. Hence the purpose of exploring what divides distorts, and undervalues them, using the information analysis method, supporting the documentary examination of the scientific hylorealism of Bunge and the complex thought of Morin and finding that the causes may be due mainly to disjunctions, reductionisms, and anarchisms coming from irrationalist, subjectivist, and anti-scientific philosophies via postmodernism, carrying out mainly epistemological underminings in the academic-research system. Concluding in the need for humanists to resignify the humanities in a notable way to take greater advantage of their resources and potential, upholding to the hilt the principles of the Enlightenment against contemporary obscurantism; suggesting a complex vision, an underlying scientific philosophy and critical thinking.
