CABRERA GARCIA, Victoria Eugenia; CUERVO RIOS, Juan Carlos; MARTINEZ CASTRO, Zoraida y CABRERA CAMPOS, Miguel Angel. Confrontation strategies against divorce in people of the Military Forces of Colombia. Rev. Cient. Gen. José María Córdova [online]. 2016, vol.14, n.17, pp.135-154. ISSN 1900-6586.
The purpose of this study is to analyze the coping strategies used by people from the Army and National forces of Colombia or their ex-spouses, during their divorce or separation process. Participants were 124 men and women, militaries and civilians between the ages of 20 and 60 years, who achieved the criteria selected for the sample such as, being divorced for a period longer than six months and less than three years and also, with at least one child. Coping strategies were assessed with the inventory of coping responses (CRI-A) for adults, designed by Moos in 1993, translated and adapted by Isabel Mikulic and Melina Crespi in 1998. Results show the predominance of the use of coping strategies according to the people's adaptation and the stress process that they face in their daily lives.
