Resumen
CANO-PANOS, Miguel Ángel. La violencia terrorista como espectáculo en internet: una aproximación criminológica. Rev. Cient. Gen. José María Córdova [online]. 2019, vol.17, n.28, pp.691-717. Epub 11-Mayo-2020. ISSN 1900-6586. https://doi.org/10.21830/19006586.514.
The presence of Islamist terrorism on the Internet has changed quantitatively and qualitatively in recent years as a result of the emergence of the self-proclaimed Islamic State. Never before has it been so easy to access all kinds of extremist propaganda, especially in social networks. Islamic State media strategists have managed to turn the most atrocious horrors into a Hollywood-like spectacle that captures the attention of young Muslims living in the West. Based on these considerations, this work analyzes the different online channels used by the Islamist movement to carry out propaganda, recruitment, indoctrination, and training of new members of this radical pan-Islamic ideology eager to extend terror throughout the planet.
