MORRIS, L. H. et al. Functional prototype for the improvement of the production process in manufacturing SMEs and their approach to the Industry 4.0. Entre Ciencia e Ingenieria [online]. 2022, vol.16, n.31, pp.70-80. Epub 01-Jul-2023. ISSN 1909-8367. https://doi.org/10.31908/19098367.2750.
The OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness), is a mathematical calculation that allows measuring and evaluating a production process of a manufacturing company, in terms of availability, performance, and quality. This article presents a bibliographic review of the OEE and industry 4.0 and the results of the survey carried out on manufacturing MSEs in Risaralda. On the other hand, a development of technological innovation is proposed, for the measurement and evaluation of the OEE, in the production process, where the behavior of production can be observed in real-time, in such a way that it serves for making timely decisions and early. Finally, it is concluded that Mipymes have shortcomings concerning knowledge of productivity indicators such as OEE, as well as automation and the lack of application of the concept of industry 4.0 in production processes, through the application of a pilot test, it is evident that the developed prototype allows Mipymes to close these gaps, becoming an opportunity for continuous improvement for them.
