Resumen

CASTELLANOS S., DIANA EDITH; RINCON M., JOSÉ MARÍA  y  ARGUELLO A., HELIODORO. Evaluation of the effect of a biofertilizer linked to a mineral organic substrate on lettuce grown under greenhouse conditions on the Bogota Plateau. rev.colomb.cienc.hortic. [online]. 2015, vol.9, n.1, pp.72-85. ISSN 2011-2173.  https://doi.org/10.17584/rcch.2015v9i1.3747.

The effect of a biofertilizer on lettuce crop, var. Batavia, was evaluated in a greenhouse on the Bogota Plateau. Previous studies were consulted for the microorganisms and the biofertilizer quality parameters that were used. Five treatments were evaluated, each with 22 plants: compost + biofertilizer (T1), biofertilizer (T2), common biofertilizer (T3), chemical fertilizer (T4) and absolute control (T5). The treatments were sampled at three different times, 25, 46 and 68 days, to count the microbial populations linked to the lettuce crop. Additionally, the length, area and the fresh and dry weights of the leaves and the length and the fresh and dry weights of the roots were sampled on day 68. The results indicated that the microbial populations did not present significant differences between the treatments, but remained stable in T1. Treatments T1, T2, and T4 showed better results for the measured agronomic parameters. In conclusion, the biofertilizer, prepared with or without compost, responded similarly to the chemical treatment in terms of the agronomic parameters, without presenting a significant difference in the number of microbial populations.
