Resumen
MARTINEZ BETANCUR, Octavio. comprehensive, ethical and dialogical approach as a medical practice base. rev.fac.med. [online]. 2008, vol.56, n.3, pp.262-269. ISSN 0120-0011.
The foundational purpose of medicine as medical practice, is the dialogical and interpretative clinical meeting between doctors and patients with the aim to heal the suffering of the ill men, the help-seeking party. As a consequence of the increasing technical and theoretic advances in medical specialities, medicine begins to see patients as a research object with the risk of the disappearance of patients as persons. With the aid of the philosophical theories of hermeneutics, it is proposed to unmask medical practice as the fusion of two dissimilar lifeworld horizons, obtained through the doctor-patient fraternal dialogue with the purpose to obtain a comprehensive disease understanding and to make with prudence the right decision that assures patient equilibrium in her lifeworld.
Palabras clave : clinical meeting; hermeneutic dialogue.
