Colombia is the second largest exporter of flowers in the world, among which the most produced species is the rose due to its high quality in the international market. However, in recent years, planting in substrates has been implemented in flower crops, which reduces the buffer capacity of the soil and causes nutrient deficiencies, with a consequent decrease in productivity. Therefore, the objective of this research was to evaluate the effect of different silicon application methods on the foliar concentration of nutrients in hydroponic roses, for which a completely randomized design was carried out with four forms of silicon application (fertigation, via foliar, to the substrate + foliar, and control -to the substrate-). The model that best described the growth of the floral stem of the rose variety ‘Snowflake’ cultivated in the Bogotá savanna was the double sigmoid logistic model. Regardless of the application method, silicon (Si) improved foliar Ca, Mg and S concentration while it did not affect N, P and K+. The supply of Si through foliar sprays increased the concentration of Ca and Mg. Likewise, applying Si in an edaphic way generated greater translocation of S to the leaves. The ‘Snowflake’ rose accumulates a large amount of Fe, Mn and B compared to other varieties. Si applications favor the assimilation of Mn, B, Si and Zn, while Cu decreases. The Snowflake’ rose could be classified as a Si accumulator plant.
