BOTERO, L y GOMEZ, R. M. ANIMAL LABORATORY USE IN COLOMBIA: REGULATIONS AND ETHIC ISSUES CONSIDERATIONS. Rev. Med. Vet. Zoot. [online]. 2013, vol.60, n.3, pp.213-219. ISSN 0120-2952.
The use of animal models in research has increased in Colombia. While in developed countries this animals are produced in controlled environments under strict rules to ensure the validity of research results, in Colombia the regulations in this issue are poor, inaccurate, and don't allow researchers to get reliable animal models. In this paper we present a brief review about the regulations in the world and finally we mention some recommendations about certain aspects that a Colombian rule should have.
