This article originally outlined the frame of reference embedded within educational computing and then introduce computer-assisted instructional environment for the training of mining personnel. The instructional environments are educational tools that integrate hardware and software resources available to combine data, photographs, animations, audio and video; integrating them in a specific application or course. In the last decades instructional environments have become powerful tools that have transcended the limits of the academic world and have reached the industrial organizations where it is necessary to maintain an ongoing process of training for officials from different areas that are both in production processes as administration. The instructional environment developed is based on theories cognitive and behavioral, and was designed specifically to supply the need to train mining personnel with a variety of standard operation, implemented in mining on a large scale.
