In this paper, the results of a work are presented, with a qualitative interpretative methodology, designed to reflect on the current moment of SFL in Colombia and to propose a didactic unit based on the action perspective (Puren, 2012) for addressing Medellín’s social aspects in students at advanced levels. The results that were obtained from the design of the material allowed to explore the teaching of Spanish from new didactics and perspectives, specifically from a critical and action perspective.
