GARCIA VERGARA, María Elena; CASTELLANOS DOMINGUEZ, Oscar Fernando y MONROY VARELA, Sonia Esperanza. Implementing technological intelligence systems from the viewpoint of complexity theory. Ing. Investig. [online]. 2008, vol.28, n.2, pp.108-118. ISSN 0120-5609.
Technology currently plays a very important role in organisations development and competitiveness, thus requiring suitable handling. Technology management has been strengthened by integrating new systematically-applied concepts, such as technological intelligence (TI). The present article was aimed at analysing TIs conceptual referents and how to implement them. An approach was therefore needed admitting dynamism for producing knowledge (know-how) and using it in production processes. The challenges observed in different contexts were defined for achieving greater efficiency in producing strategic intelligence-supported technology management. Complexity theory was reviewed as this could provide an analytical and conceptual framework for studying systems like those involved in intelligence where interactions form the fundamental aspect for understanding them. This work has led to proposing possible contributions from complexity theory for TI systems, postulating considerations for making them more dynamic.
