RECALDE, Luis Cornelio y MURILLO, Diana Marcela. The origins of geometry: from pragmatic necessity to the apodictic search. rev. cienc. [online]. 2016, vol.20, n.2, pp.99-108. ISSN 0121-1935. https://doi.org/10.25100/rc.v20i2.4677.
This article addresses some aspects about the urgent to need to demostrate in geometry. Starting from a historical epistemological analysis, it is supported the idea that the passage from pragmatic geometry of the pre-Hellenic civilizations to the emerging need the Greeks had to demonstrate geometry was not an instant change, but flourished as an amalgam of philosophical, geometric, and spiritual concepts. It is intended that the reflections can serve as input for theoreticians in mathematic education and for teachers, as a reference to raise intervention strategies in the classroom.
