Resumen

CHIAPPE, Sandra Marcela Durán  y  GONZALEZ, Jenny Maritza Pulido. Beliefs of Teachers about Games in Early Education: Traces for Research. Pedagogía y Saberes [online]. 2018, n.49, pp.225-233. ISSN 0121-2494.

This reflection paper exposes investigative developments by early education teachers regarding their beliefs about games, as an opportunity to understand the position from which they think and act with regard to games with boys and girls in the early childhood stage. These studies were conducted in the context of the teacher's thinking paradigm and the investigations were developed through case studies insofar as they enable the understanding of specific experiences in certain contexts. Observation in situ of the practices and exploratory and in-depth interviews made it possible to visualize and understand why the teacher leads certain experiences related to games, in order to problematize the tendency to think about it as exclusively for instrumental purposes, ignoring the game as a social and cultural experience that requires monitoring and reflection processes.
