Resumen
ANAYA CAMPO, Alexander. Contributions of land distribution to the development of countries. A literature review. Cuad. Econ. [online]. 2022, vol.41, n.86, pp.213-241. Epub 10-Oct-2022. ISSN 0121-4772. https://doi.org/10.15446/cuad.econ.v41n86.85604.
Land distribution favoured the economic growth of China, South Korea, Japan, and Taiwan. In these countries, distribution, coupled with state support, contributed greatly to the subsequent industrialisation of their economies. The literature recognises the remarkable development of East Asia. However, in other nations, especially in Africa and Latin America, distributional land reforms do not show satisfactory results in terms of development. This paper reviews the literature on the contributions of land distribution to the development of some countries that suffered from, or suffer from, a high concentration of land and poverty problems.
