RAMIREZ BACCA, Renzo y ZAPATA, Juan Guillermo. ''People'', constitutions and politics in Antioquia, 1810- 1877. Hist. Soc. [online]. 2014, n.27, pp.101-135. ISSN 0121-8417. https://doi.org/10.15446/hys.n27.44589.
This article analyzes the term people which is used in the provincial constitutions of Antioquia and Colombia. The interest lies on presenting their representations and usage in different phases of the Colombian political and constitutional history. The intention is to understand its correlation with the electoral and participative citizenship practice with respect to the State, and also to point out contradictions between different discourses (the constitutional and the political party ones) around the people and its actors: women, artisans and farmers. This is a hermeneutic understanding with a historicist focus which, in turn, develops a diachronic analysis based on constitutionals texts and primary sources.
