JAIMES RODRIGUEZ, Jerson Fidel y MENDIETA AFANADOR, Santiago. Catholic devotions, religious practices, and brotherhoods in Colombia (16th-19th centuries): a bibliographical approach. Anu.hist.reg.front. [online]. 2020, vol.25, n.1, pp.173-203. Epub 30-Dic-2019. ISSN 0122-2066. https://doi.org/10.18273/revanu.v25n1-2020006.
In this article it is made a bibliographical approach to the academic works carried out around the religious context and whose specific themes have been: i) Catholic devotions; ii) religious practices; and iii) brotherhoods in Colombia, from the colonial period to the nineteenth century. Methodologically, it has started from an exhaustive search of bibliography related to the themes of work, mainly in libraries, digital repositories and in the different databases of specialized journals. On the other hand, the article describes trends and approaches addressed by the authors, taking into account factors such as the type of sources used, the theoretical-methodological apparatus and the hypotheses, conclusions and debates raised. Finally, some issues are suggested for future works which cover the religious practice as a social and cultural component.
